The challenge of architectural documentation
Photographing a luxury yacht after an extensive refit has a very specific and critical mission: to highlight its "new life" and dynamically reposition it in the market. For the M/Y ZEN project, our approach was highly targeted. The client asked us to focus exclusively on architectural photography, in order to capture with absolute precision the new lines, fresh materials, and modern aesthetic the vessel acquired.
When a yacht emerges from such a radical renovation, every detail in the interior design matters. Our job was to step inside and document the quality of the new wood paneling, the brand-new furniture, and the carefully designed lighting that transforms the cabins and the main salon.
Proper yacht photography in this case requires perfect management of both natural and artificial light. Our goal was to make the spaces look exactly as they are in reality: spacious, extremely welcoming, and flawless, all while preserving their true atmosphere.
Focusing on the luxury of the new design
Of course, the photography was not limited to the interior. On the exterior decks, we had to highlight the new lounge areas, the updated equipment, and the ergonomics of the M/Y ZEN. With careful framing, we created clean, premium images that transport the viewer directly to the deck, ready to enjoy the experience of sailing on a practically "new" yacht.
